Just behind Ben Lawers An Stuc should be an easy bag for any Munroist out on Scotland's 10th highest peak.

Unfortunately Beinn Ghlas is sited immediately beneath the summit cone of Ben Lawers - so you hardly notice you've gone across the summit before you're slogging up to the summit of Ben Lawers itself.

The first peak on the grand-tour of Ben Lawers. From here proceed over Meall a' Choire Leith and drop into Fin Glen before bagging a total of ... 6 munros. Not a bad day's work.

Easily accessible from Kinlochleven this is one of the nicest mountains in the Mamores. Its slopes have a lovely shape when covered in snow and a very straightforward walk-in along a landrover track.

Am Bodach is the first (or last) peak on the travese of the Aonach Eagach ridge. An excellent site for a bivvy if you're planning an early start to the ridge.

The summit at the western end of the massive Liathach ridge is a fine one. With a ridge descending northwards into the wilderness and an easy descent on its southerly side back to Glen Torridon and the road. An excellent peak to end a day on the ridge.

Just north of the In Pin and accessible via Coire na Banachdich - I've only visited the summit in think mist... but being situated right in the middle of the splendid Cuillin horseshoe I suspect the views are amazing when the weather's clear.

The Young Man's Peak is also the closest one to the pub (Sligachan Hotel), however the Tourist Route may seem inappropriately named - this hard scramble is graded Easy in rock-climbing terms and sets the tome for the rest of the ridge.
